Todd Sturgeon
President |
Todd Sturgeon has a B.S. in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Prior to founding Sturgeon Consulting, Todd worked over 15 years across manufacturing, insurance, healthcare, construction, environmental, and trucking industries building his expertise in safety and risk management. He has experience as an insurance buyer, carrier, and agent which gives him a unique, full-view perspective on insurance savings. Having worked in claims management, policy underwriting, loss control engineering, and underwriting, he is a true asset to any organization looking to optimize their insurance coverage while minimizing overhead costs. Todd applied his background in insurance and his hard-earned reputation for controlling workplace accidents and overhead expenses to found Sturgeon Consulting in 2006. As President, he has led the company by example in a strong commitment to customer service and dedication to creating effective and affordable safety solutions customized to organizations across the country.
Throughout his career, Todd has been recognized for his outstanding achievements, and he is the recipient of two Pennsylvania Governor’s Awards. He was also the first Certified Workers’ Compensation Advisor (CWCA) in Western Pennsylvania, and he is the author of 12 Proven Methods to Banish Workers’ Compensation Overcharges. Kelly Sturgeon

Kelly Sturgeon has a B.S. in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Before transitioning to the safety field, Kelly spent nearly a decade cultivating open-learning environments in classrooms across multiple states. Leveraging her excellent interpersonal skills, affinity for mathematics and problem solving, and ability to adapt to new environments, she helped cofound Sturgeon Consulting in 2006 to fulfill her passion of helping others. Kelly has driven the consumer-first mindset that differentiates the Sturgeon Consulting service model by going above and beyond to ensure clients receive courteous and quick answers to all their questions. She is a foundational part of Sturgeon Consulting and manages all accounting, finance, marketing, and administrative responsibilities. Kelly has proven that with passion and determination, there are no limits to what you can achieve.

Colton Young

Colton Young is a Western Pennsylvania native who attended Slippery Rock University, where he received a B.S. in Safety Management. Before joining Sturgeon Consulting, Colton started his career in the oil and gas industry where he was a Safety Training Supervisor for Stingray Pressure Pumping located in Belmont County, Ohio. His responsibilities included safety, training and environmental for the company’s field crews throughout Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Colton holds the Graduate Safety Practitioner designation given by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and is on track to attain the Certified Safety Professional designation from the BCSP. He also holds the Associate Safety and Health Manager credential from the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management and is on track to attain the Certified Safety and Health Manager credential from the IHMM.

Jeanine Sturgeon

Jeanine Sturgeon is a junior at the University of South Carolina Honors College studying international business, marketing, and finance. Prior to joining the Sturgeon Consulting team, she worked in market research and brand development at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, Quench, and the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce. She is involved on campus and in the community through the American Marketing Association, Sigma Omega Upsilon International Business Fraternity, and the Ronald McDonald House of Columbia. At Sturgeon Consulting, Jeanine manages website development, SEO strategy, graphic design, content creation, and social media marketing. She also has helped research and communicate changing guidelines to clients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Her passion for strategic marketing and creative branding solutions has driven Sturgeon Consulting's digital presence.
