Our office is strategically positioned close to the intersection of I-79 and I-80.
Sturgeon Consulting is currently seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as a Risk Management and Safety Consultant based out of our office in Jackson Center, PA.
Job Summary At Sturgeon Consulting you will have the opportunity to use your talents in a wide variety of businesses, learn from experienced professionals, and work in a family atmosphere. Our consultants work as an extension of our client’s management staff. This support is provided through both regular on-site site visits and remote communication. The majority of client site visits are conducted with local day trips, but occasional overnight travel is required.
Client services include but are not limited to:
Safety and environmental assessments
Program implementation and audits
Employee and management training
Regulatory inspection preparation, support, and representation
Injury prevention, investigation, and management
Technical support and guidance
Corrective action recommendations
Insurance program support and management
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Safety Management / Sciences
Past consulting experience is preferred but not required
Understanding of health & safety regulations - specifically OSHA standards
Ability to problem solve and work both independently and in a team
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail and quality
Organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
A valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
Be within commuting distance of our office, or be willing to relocate
